Charge the Atmosphere with Thanks!
Have you ever experienced a situation that was “charged” with emotion? Maybe you have been in a large sports arena with a neck and neck game going on and you feel the anticipation of the crowd. Or have you been to an amazing concert with great entertainers that are able to create an emotional energy that moved you? Have you been to a Christian outreach or a church service that completely inspired you to make a change in your life? These are situations that have been impactful on your emotional state. With that idea in mind I want to encourage you that you can create an atmosphere of thankfulness in your own heart!
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and for many of us it begins a hectic holiday rush. Black Friday sales have already begun and many may be feeling the pressure mounting. I want to encourage you to create an atmosphere of thanksgiving in your heart and your environment. I challenge you to give praise to the Lord out loud so you can hear your own voice and find that the atmosphere changes. Psalm 119:164 gives us a challenge, it says… “I will praise you seven times a day because all your laws are just.” Will you take the challenge for at least one day, set an alarm on your phone for every hour or so and when it goes off give the Lord an offering of praise? This will be rewarding for you, verse 165 continues with this…“Those who love your law have great peace and do not stumble.” Take hold of His peace by praising His Name!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!
