GOD DRAWS US A BLUEPRINT
by Jan Kindler
(2 minute read)
God gives us a vision, a dream, a desire, and says: “Go for it. Don’t give up. Stand firm.”
As the General Contractor, God calls his servants to build something. Noah was called to build an ark and even though he didn’t understand why, he followed the instructions that God gave him. Noah wasn’t able to do it by himself, so he hired subcontractors (laborers), people who would reap the benefit of their obedience. God gave each of Noah’s sons a job to do and a special talent to accomplish the task.
Ezra rebuilt the Temple, with help. Nehemiah, and other leaders, reconstructed the wall surrounding the city of Jerusalem. The apostles were put in charge of building the Church. The special saints that God used probably got discouraged, disappointed, and ridiculed. But they followed the instructions. I believe they made mistakes, but because they continued to build, God was glorified and others were blessed.
Has God given you a blueprint? Are you in the process of building, rebuilding, or reconstruction? Do you have a crew working with you? Do they understand and know what the vision is? Do they know what job is theirs and are they following God’s plan?
Pray for the Vision
Start moving when God calls you
Let others, who are willing, help (share the load)
Be watchful on guard
Yield to God’s authority
Expect and reap the blessings
Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
