Jesus Revolution

I recently went to see the movie “Jesus Revolution” I believe this movie is timely and beautifully done. We are living in a world where people are hungry. However, they don’t always know what they are hungry for. In this movie, many hippies who were searching for love, and acceptance in all the wrong places had an encounter with the Lord Jesus. A young man who had been touched by the presence of the Lord started sharing Jesus with his hippie friends, then the love of the Lord spread to many others.

The story goes even further as it spread to one tender-hearted and loving preacher, Chuck Smith. It wasn’t without an inward struggle that Pastor Chuck welcomed these young hippies into his heart, home, and church. A great awakening to Jesus Christ began to spread to many. All because of people who cared and dared to love those that seemed unlovely. I hope this will inspire us all to look beyond the outward appearance of people and look to the greater need they have inside of their struggling hearts. May it cause us to reach out in love and share the goodness of God with those who are hungry and need the love and healing balm of Jesus. He is still available to all who call upon Him.
