The fields are white!
The fields are white!
By Pastor Doug Cox
There’s no doubt in my mind that we are living in the last of the last days in the season of signs. I do believe we are living in the last generation before Jesus returns. I can’t think of a single sign warning us about the last generation that is not happening. One of those signs is lawlessness and anarchy. Jesus predicted that “… because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.” (Matthew 24:12) We can’t let that happen to us.
It seems the godless are stirred up. They want no morals, no laws, no restraint, no rules and no standards. Many don’t like faith, family, or love of country. They think their evil is good (Isaiah 5:20). and it can be discouraging because it seems like strong delusion is spreading like a cancer.
It also seems like there is nothing we can do about it. On one hand that is true. We can’t stop the world from their stubborn rejection of God and the awful fruit of that. We can’t stop the stage being set for the final antichrist to operate from. What we can do is walk in love. We can care about people and speak the truth in love. We can make personal inroads with those around us. You never know who you might help if you just try. Don’t put it off.
Jesus gave us some insight on what to do. He says we should be looking for and working for the harvest. He says, “Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! (John 4:35)
My prayer is Lord help us to believe in the power of the gospel to change people and help us to not procrastinate sharing that gospel with the people who need it.
