Having stones that stand for truth!

Did you know the discovery of Noah’s ark is in the news? One news outlet, the Daily Mail wrote an article headlined: “Noah’s Ark resting place 100% confirmed after 4,300 years as astonishing ‘man-made’ structure is detected buried deep underground.”

‘Noah’s Ark Scans,’ (an independent U.S. based research group that conducts geophysical surveys at the Durupinar Formation in eastern Turkey searching for evidence of the biblical Noah’s Ark) said the following: “We are 100% sure that the Daily Mail will come under fire for this headline. But knowing what we know now, we are 100% sure that they are not going to have to issue a retraction.”

There’s a dilemma. Credentialed and mainstream archaeologists view the Durupinar formation (where Noah’s Ark is claimed to be) as a natural geological structure. They claim it is an eroded rock fold consisting of limestone and volcanic clay. (A syncline). A geologic structure shaped by mudflows, weathering and landslides. The mainstreamers don’t believe anyone outside of their peer group should research it, fearing they will not hold rigorous enough controls over the research and fudge the findings. What if these amateurs say it’s Noah’s Ark when it is not?

So, the question is, can you trust modern scientists to be honest? Do you think they would want to give credence to discoveries that would prove the Bible true? Or would they explain the whole idea of the Ark away by saying, It’s just a natural geological formation. Nothing to see here. Do they have the stones to go against traditional theories?

Have you heard about the stones? There are 26 massive ‘drogue stones’ scattered across the valley beneath where the Ark is resting. Drogue stones were used by nearly all ancient ships to help balance ships in bad weather. These teardrop shaped stones have a hole bored through the narrow end so ropes can tie them to the ship, to be lowered off the side. The drogues found by the Ark are said to be massive. Hmmm? Could they have once been tied to a massive ship like the Ark?

Also near the Ark is a massive marine fossil field filled with seashells, fossilized starfish and sand dollars. With no seabeds within hundreds of miles does this speak of a worldwide flood? Also, radar scans, according to Lauren Witzke “have found three layers beneath the surface of the formation. Within those layers are chambers, corridors, organized patterns and tunnels consisting of ‘perfect’ right angles.” She says, “scientists confirm the formation is ‘100% not geological,’ that it is a man-made object.”

So, who should we believe? For me, the drogue stones are evidence to believe it is the Ark. But hey, even if it is not, the story of the Ark is still true and it’s getting us to think about Noah. And Jesus said Noah’s important. He says, “And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man, they ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.” (Luke 17:26-27)

Much can be said about the days of Noah. People were dismissive about warnings of coming judgement. People were happy to live their everyday lives without involving God. Just eat, drink and live life, have it your way. And of course there were mockers. It’s no different today. Nevertheless, judgement came, but not upon Noah. He had the stones to believe and live for God. What about you?
