What’s your story, your testimony? How would you describe what happened in your life when you came to know the Lord? For some it is an amazing moment of transformation when everything changed, for others it was more of a slow process, possibly with many bumps and bruises along the way. Others might feel like they don’t have anything great to report, you might have been raised in a family that taught you about Jesus and you have been following Him for as long as you can remember. These are all great and important.
A few definitions of the word testimony from Merriam Webster are; firsthand authentication of a fact, an open acknowledgment, a public profession of religious experience. The thing about your testimony is that it belongs to you. It can be used as a way to share with others how the Lord has changed your life and is working in you. Sometimes the people we want to share Jesus with aren’t open to hearing about the Bible, but hearing what has happened to you might be a way that you can share about God’s goodness with them.
This Thursday November 2nd we will be showing the movie “The Blind” about the life of Phil Robertson and how God transformed him. This is a movie about his testimony of God’s grace toward him. I hope you will join us and bring someone with you.
Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
